Meet Carol
International Certified Master Groomer
& Breed Judge
The elegance, glamour and movement of Parcheeni Poodles takes me back to my first love, horses. The reach of neck, the angulation of the legs, the haughty attitude, and the power of movement in a well-bred poodle are very similar to the attributes of a well-bred horse. The very best in both animals, are literally breath taking to me.
Since completing my dog grooming course over 30 years ago, I have honed my skills and developed a trusted grooming salon in Gloucester. Along the way, I have bred and shown Parcheeni Poodles, winning Best in Show at Crufts, and have been approved to judge all three sizes of Poodle by the UK Kennel Club.
I also believe that knowledge is a gift for sharing and enjoy sharing my expertise at a variety of demonstrations and workshops around the country, through-out the year, with my infectious passion for scissor skills and holistic approach to dog grooming.
As a groomer of 30 plus years, I have experience in many areas. I can undertake a pet groom on any breed and more than happy instruct others on this.
I would consider myself to be a poodle specialist, some groomers never see a thorough bred poodle, but I am happy to say that poodles are still the breed I groom the most. I can support and instruct others in pet or everyday salon style poodles, I can also instruct on the many other poodle trims that exist and also for trims that suit and are good for the many poodle cross breeds (Labradoodle, Cocker-Poo etc) and other ‘named’ crosses (Cavachon, Chorkie etc) that are now very popular.
I've attended and hosted many demonstrations over the years detailing show poodle preparation, coat maintenance, styling, and hand scissoring. I really enjoy teaching and would like to focus on more of the seminar/ tuition work. I'm prepared to travel to undertake this, so get in touch if you'd like a one-to-one or demonstrate at one of your workshops.
